Experiences
The entire stretch of the Himalayan belt is the home to a number of animals, birds, insects and plants. Rare animals like the Ibex, Blue Sheep, Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Himalayan Wolf & Black Bear live in the high altitude forest rich in flora. The terai region located at the foothills of the Himalayas is the home to Asian Elephants, Indian Gour and the one horned Rhino. A visitor can come face to face with these animals during the jungle safaris and sometimes even at the vicinity of the jungle camps. A bird watcher can find a paradise here as many migratory and resident birds are sighted here throughout the year.
Each region has its own trademark of Himalayan floral treasure for example the ‘Valley of Flowers’ in Uttarakhand, the ‘Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary’ in Sikkim and ‘Sacred Grooves’ of the Northeast India where the hills are covered with innumerable species of plants.
A visit to this region can give many pleasant surprises to the visitors who can take home memories of picture post card landscapes and living creatures.
